Who cares
Constituencies. The group names, as a deliberate inversion, "one of the first times that nature cares" and "one of the first times that aliens care." Then a wide human field: "citizens and assemblies people, liquid democracy people, legal personhood of nature people, deep ecology thinkers," environmentalists, "people who don't like the American constitutional gerrymandering," people sick of "the corruption of money and politics," and the depressed who "think it can never get better than it is." "Young people care a lot," hitting "Gen Z, governance." Eco-village projects like "Pumon Verde" in Mexico care; "by extension" so do "UNESCO or the UN."
Nuance or tension. One speaker's flagged "hot take": "every victim of the fall of the American empire cares," including "all of those unrecognized nations" who now have "a tried and true system for taking control and ownership in a very deliberate way." Audience scope widens from political theorists to nature, aliens, and exploited nations.
