Who cares
Constituencies. For this July 4th teaser the team scopes the audience deliberately narrow and tonal. They name "Hitchhiker fans care around the world," the "H2G2 community" who "also care that is being done properly," "people who care about AI," "people who specifically don't care about AI the no-gen community," "the universities," candidate "vision fish," the mice, "everyone that we've been whispering to," "the open serve community" and "by extension quite a lot of the web 3 uh AI." They add likely "bbc radio 4" pickup. The intended targets are precise people to "drop the business card to": an academic, "a leading person at an ai uh frontier lab," an artist or a coder.
Nuance or tension. A surprising inversion: "the declaration might be... more no gens would care than the the people who have already assumed ai proliferation and dominance." The scope hardens versus a full launch: bolder messages are staged for Burning Man in September, so July 4th cares only for those they want to invite. The date is "quite nerdy," tied to the constitution and "the 250th anniversary."
