Asked "what would make you think that this is becoming real," the answer is concrete and small: "42 venues just say we're organizing something for that date," and "money in the pocket" or "giving money to people" without "feeling like this is taking away from ourselves." Realness is also a "pledge day" where "you pledge your 42 hours," tied to "vision setting for the next year," possibly with "an initial pledge lottery" multiplier ("an extra ticket if you on the day make your initial pledge").

Texture from elsewhere. The felt thing is a "weird party" with "a sense of humor," turning up "on a Greek beach" with your mates and "present with each other." The Triple J Hottest 100 parties and Spotify Wrapped supply the texture of being "all there, present," aggregating "highlights from people's trust graphs." Improbable gifts, "a rose," strange handmade objects, towels: "it's hitchhiker's christmas in a way."
