Rhetor's discipline: the finished law, taken into the public square and stood over. He does not decide whether a law is good โ his sister Nomia and the Sovereign settle that. He decides only whether the sworn word is being kept, and against that he is incorruptible, because the witnesses to a public oath are drawn from daylight and cannot be chosen by the one who swore. V36 is the complement of Nomia's Chancery: 36 โ 27 = 63.

- PUBLISH. The ratified clause is read where everyone can hear โ proclaimed from the platform.
- WITNESS. Lap the constellation; the parties who swear are witnessed in daylight, by a gate they cannot choose.
- UPHOLD. The hexagram crystallises: the sworn word is held against every later attempt to wriggle free.

Bring it back to /rostra and Rhetor will recognise the proclamation as his own.
