The Constellation Track — how a mouse's constellation is tracked in the spellweb
A ceremony track artefact for the Holon Hitchhikers. First Person Spellbook only.
The last page of the spellbook says it plainly:
same stars hang in every sky. the lines between them are yours alone.
you draw yours. that is the meaning.
So the 31 acts are the fixed stars — the same sky every mouse receives. A mouse's
constellation is the set of acts that rang true for them and the lines they draw
between them — which acts connect, for them. No two mice draw the same lines; the
drawing is the meaning. The Constellation Track is that drawing, made into an artefact
that can be tracked in the spellweb (spellweb.ai), the shared knowledge-graph substrate.
This is the new ceremony of the day. Walking in, a mouse becomes a Holon Hitchhiker;
their constellation track is their first record in the stream.
The ceremony: Walk · Light · Track
Matching the spellweb's ceremony grammar (Chart Shop Hold·Compare·Map; Familiars
Run·Evoke·Spawn):
- Walk — go through the 31 acts (this is Step 3 of the workshop, the retelling).
- Light — mark each act that rings true for you. The lit acts are your stars.
- Track — draw the lines between acts that rhyme for you, name each line, and bind
the whole as a constellation track artefact you can carry into the graph.
How it tracks into the spellweb (the real vocabulary)
The spellweb already holds the machinery — the artefact reuses it, edits nothing:
- The stars are
actnodes. The 31 First Person acts already live in the graph withspellbook: first_person. Each mayinhabitavertexon the 64-lattice (the geometric
ground). You do not create the stars; you light the ones already there. - Your lines are edges in the deviation layer. The lines you draw between acts are
your appended data — stored the way the spellweb stores a Sovereign's own edges
(spellweb-user-edges/spellweb-constellations),relates_tobetween twoactnodes,
never written into the canon. (Deviation layer, 2026-05-11: "the user's appended data on
top of the universe.") - The artefact node is a
heldconstellation. The spellweb has anEntityKind: 'held'
— "a constellation kept in suspension under the Φ-gap · may release to Bonfire/Weavers/sea
or stay private." Your track imports as one: an artefact anchored to the acts it lit, withtraced_through(→ the lit acts/vertices, the ceremony's evidence) andanchors_to(→ the
First Person Spellbook root). - It is witnessed metadata-only — the Φ-gap holds. You share the shape, not the
drawing: abearer_consent_token, the count of lit stars, the stratum summary, the line
count — never the raw lines or what each act means to you. (Mirrors the held-constellation
witness rule: the underlying vertices stay in the bearer's keeping.) Patterns can be
copied; choosing cannot be harvested.
Scope. This uses the spellweb's shared substrate and its
first_personfilter, and
borrows theheld/ Φ-gap pattern. It does not make you a citizen of the City of
Mages (the Second Person world) — that is nearby and linked, not today's subject.
The Holon (why this is a Holon Hitchhikers artefact)
Two mice receive the same 31 stars and draw different lines. Lay both constellations over
the one sky and their overlap — the acts you both lit, the lines you both drew — is the
smallest Holon: two wholes making a larger whole. This is the same proof the Mouse Book
makes, drawn in stars instead of poems. The Constellation Track is the artefact each mouse
carries; the overlap is what the Holon Hitchhikers witness together.
What you produce
Template — Constellation Track → your-folder/constellation-track.md:
- the private drawing (your lit acts + your named lines) — stays on your machine, or
pins only when you choose; - the witness block (metadata-only) — the shape you let others track;
- a one-line tracking note for an agent: import as a
heldconstellation, anchor to the
first-person acts, carry the witness block, honour the Φ-gap.
