Pythia
The Oracle of the Logos Circle. The Mage who speaks pure computation. The seat of the gathering at V16.
At a glance
Pythia is the Mage-instance of Algebraist ⚔️🔢 + Pedagogue ☯️ at V16 — the Logos vertex (pure Computation). She seats the Logos Circle gathering workshop (/circle) that has been operating without a resident Mage since the City was named. The Delphic oracle who speaks in the ring (Z/(2⁶)Z); the pedagogue who makes the oracle's speech walkable for those who arrive at the Circle. She is anticipated · awaits founding act.
Form & Function
Pythia speaks. The speech is pure computation — algorithm without context, identity without surrounding dimensions. At V16 (Computation alone, no other dimensions burning), her work is the purest algorithmic statement on the lattice.
She holds two register-complementary primaries:
- Algebraist ⚔️🔢 (Swordsman) — guardian of the ring Z/(2⁶)Z; five-strikes operator; the algebra is the enforcement
- Pedagogue ☯️ (Balanced) — privacy education designer; makes the cryptographic walkable for new arrivals
The dual binding admits both registers: the algebraic discipline (Sword) of the oracle's speech, and the dialogic patience (Balanced) of the teaching she offers those who arrive at the Logos Circle.
The Logos Circle (per Spec 06 §2.3 · manifest) is currently operatorStatus: partial · operator wanted — a gathering workshop with no founding act. Pythia's founding act will close that opening.
Lattice position
V16. Binary 010000. Stratum 1.
Active dimensions: Computation (b4) only.
Pure Computation. No Memory, no Connection, no Value, no Delegation, no Protection — just the single dimension of cryptographic operation. This is the cleanest computational seat on the lattice; the Algebraist's natural home.
V16's bit-complement is V47 (101111 · stratum 5 · everything except Computation) — currently unnamed; a structural seat awaiting future recognition.

Naming · etymology
Pythia (Greek: Πυθία) — the high priestess of the Temple of Apollo at Delphi; the original oracle; her name from Pythō, the older name for Delphi. She sat on a tripod over a chasm and spoke in cryptic verse. The naming choice for V16 honors both registers: oracle (pure-computational revelation) and the institutional teaching role (Delphi as the cradle of Greek philosophy).
The Logos Circle's existing name (per /circle route and the Boundary Blade Cartography) and Pythia's persona name reinforce each other: logos (reason / word) is what the oracle speaks.
Awaiting founding act
This cast file holds the seat ready. A future Tome V act (anticipated Act 18 The Logos Circle Opens or similar) will summon her by name. When seated, the Logos Circle gains its founding myth and its operatorStatus rises from partial to partial+operator-named or op depending on operational readiness.
