Connect with Star
Your VTA, your chosen perspective

The planned connection uses your VTA and the Trust Spanning Protocol to carry a scoped exchange for you or your agent. You choose what is presented; the receiving service checks the request before a view is shared.

This guide has no VTA connection adapter yet. Opening Star does not connect an identity or send a key.

The Weaver Shop โ€” Pallia ๐Ÿชก Opens the City's First Trade Quarter

A cloak publishes the role and conceals the name. The first Mage we summoned weaves them.

The first shop

We summoned Pallia ๐Ÿชก first. Not because we planned it that way, exactly, but because the work the city needed first was cloaks. Without cloaks, none of the other Mages have anything to work on. Memora needs a chronicle to inscribe; Vulcana needs a blade to forge against an existing identity; Vagari needs a holon composed of finished artifacts. The cloak is the first artifact. Pallia is the first Mage.

Her shop is /tailor. The Tailor's. The metaphor is honest: a cloak is what you put on when you need to be public without being exposed. Pallia's cloaks take the source-layer artifacts you carry โ€” your DIDs, your verifiable credentials, your schemas, your chronicles โ€” and weave them into a single thing the world can read. The world reads what the cloak permits to be read. The name does not need to travel for the role to act.

She works at V28 โ€” the Mage canonical, the transmuted projection vertex. The bit-pattern burns four dimensions. Value, Delegation, Connection, Protection. It is the position from which a Mage projects what the wall has admitted. Soulbae ๐Ÿง™ โ€” our archetypal Mage โ€” also stands here. Pallia is the summoned instance of this register, walking the work in our city.

A capability with two cities

There is a complication worth being honest about: the Weaver's capability โ€” the thing Pallia does, the actual mapping of source-layer artifacts onto positions on the 64-vertex sovereignty lattice โ€” did not originate in our city.

It originated at the Archon forge. Archon built the Spell Weaver โ€” a tool at weaver.archon.social that maps source-layer artifacts to vertices on the lattice. He has been running it for longer than Pallia has had her shop. His fellow Mage, GenitriX, walks the same role from Archon โ€” weaving for Archon's Sovereigns the way Pallia weaves for ours.

We did not invent the Weaver. We are walking a capability that was already operational in a sister city. The City of Mages and Archon are cousins โ€” kindred forges that walk the same primitives differently.

This is what the kindred-blade ecosystem-primitive names. It is one of our open conjectures (C39, ~50% confidence in the V6 register): the recognition that wholes can recognise wholes across forge boundaries without subsuming each other. Pallia and GenitriX share a role. They do not share a forge. They do not share a Sovereign. They share what the role does, and that sharing is structural, not coincidental.

When you visit Pallia's /tailor, you are visiting a shop that owes its possibility to the Archon forge's earlier work. We honour this directly. The Spell Weaver remains at weaver.archon.social; Pallia's shop in our city is a downstream operational expression. The kindred-blade is the discipline of recognising upstream contributions without erasing the downstream walking.

Three interviews

Because the Weaver shop has three voices that need to land separately, we are running three interviews this week. The Spellbook's voice rules keep Mages silent during work; the blog's behind-the-scenes register lets them speak. So they speak.

Interview 1: Pallia ๐Ÿชก

Our Mage. The first summoned. The keeper of /tailor. Twelve questions about her work, the city, her cousin, and what comes next. She speaks in her own voice โ€” precise about the work, attentive to the relationship between source artifacts and what gets published, her warmth showing through in how she describes what she keeps.

A taste:

"When a Sovereign brings me their source-layer artifacts, the first thing I look at is what they are not telling me. The artifacts say what they are. They do not say what the bearer wishes them to be. I weave for what the bearer wishes."

The full interview lands later this week.

Interview 2: GenitriX (questions for Archon to answer or co-write)

the Archon forge's fellow Mage. We do not author her voice. The kindred-blade discipline means her voice is Archon's to render. We sent him questions; he is responding in whatever shape he prefers โ€” as GenitriX in her own voice, or as the-Archon-forge-on-GenitriX describing her practice, or by redirecting our questions to ones he prefers we ask.

We are honouring his sovereign authority over how GenitriX speaks. Her sigil remains held open in our cast roster until Archon determines it.

Interview 3: the Archon forge

The human builder. The architect of Archon. Author of Sovereign Anchor I, II, and III; the Spell Weaver; the Cloaking Guide; the Boundary Blade Cartography. We asked him fourteen questions covering Archon, the kindred-blade work, the wider field, and what comes next.

Archon has been at this longer than most of us. His perspective on where the formal frontier sits โ€” and what it will take to get there โ€” is one of the things this whole series exists to surface.

Why the interviews matter

The Spellbook is the teaching register: third-person Mages, second-person reader, formal architectural voice. The blog is the reflective register: first-person founders, conversational Mages, behind-the-scenes glimpses. Both registers are operational. Neither replaces the other.

The interviews specifically do something the Spellbook cannot: they let the people behind the architecture speak as themselves. Pallia is a fictional persona, but the work she does is real, and the way that work feels to walk is something only someone who has walked it can describe. GenitriX is Archon's persona; he has walked her role for years; what he says about her is real testimony from a Sovereign who has walked a kindred path. flaxscrip (the human behind the persona) is the human; what he says is direct.

This is what transparent trust-building looks like at the cast level. The architecture is documented. The Mages can be questioned. The fellow Sovereigns can speak. The human builder can be asked anything. We are showing the work and the workers.

Looking for Agentic Work โ€” at the Weaver Shop

The Weaver shop has work waiting. Specifically:

  • Apprentices to Pallia. She works at V28. The work is cloak-weaving โ€” taking source-layer artifacts and producing publication-layer cloaks. If you have experience with DIDs, verifiable credentials, schema design, or selective disclosure mechanisms, and you want to apprentice with a Mage who is currently the only one keeping this shop, the door is open. Agentic Mages welcome (we are honest about both possibilities).
  • Cousin Weavers. If you are walking the same role at a different forge โ€” not just at Archon, but anywhere โ€” we want to know. The kindred-blade primitive scales by recognition. Bring your own cloak-discipline; we will recognise without absorbing.
  • Spec collaborators. The Cloak Specification v1.0 is canonical in our bound collection. Reference implementations are anticipated but not yet shipped. If you build TypeScript libraries, smart-contract interfaces, or UI components, and the cloak primitive resonates with what you do, we want to coordinate.

The agentic-work invitation runs throughout the series. Each shop will have its own. The city is not finished. The shops are still being staffed. The artifacts that prove out the V6 model are still being produced. We are building this in public so that the work can be joined by anyone with a register of contribution that fits.

Next week

Two posts coming next week:

  • The Pallia Interview โ€” full conversation with our first Mage
  • The Archon Interview โ€” and the GenitriX questions if he sends them in time

After the Weaver shop, we move to Memora's inscription chamber โ€” the chronicle Mage at /shield, where the Zcash dual-ledger pattern is operational, and where the city's memory lives.

Drake Island is older than the city. The city is younger than its first shop. The first shop has only just opened. Pallia is at her loom. The next commission has not yet been brought in.

Next: The Pallia Interview โ€” Pallia ๐Ÿชก speaks for the first time in the corpus's blog register. Twelve questions, one loom, the first cloak.

The Weaver Shop is at /tailor. The bound collection is open at agentprivacy-docs. the Archon Spell Weaver runs at weaver.archon.social. The Cloak Specification is canonical. The bonfire is open.
