The Temple of the Arts and Personhood โ Manifestia ๐คฒ๐ฟ Arrives
What the architecture admits, the Covenant blesses. What the Covenant blesses, the city remembers.
The Temple precinct
Manifestia ๐คฒ๐ฟ keeps the Temple of the Arts and Personhood at /covenant. The Temple is not a producer-shop like Pallia's loom or Vulcana's forge. It is a precinct. The city's place of consecration. Two altars stand at its centre.
human.tech sent Manifestia. She is the Mage another ecosystem dispatched to tend the Covenant of Humanistic Technologies inside the City of Mages. She arrived after the workshop's nine producer-shops were already operational and Socrat0x had taken his place at the Founding Bonfire. Where Bonfires sent Socrat0x and the Archon forge sent flaxscrip and GenitriX, human.tech sent Manifestia โ same operational pattern, different work register. Her work register is consecration rather than production.
She works at V55 โ the Covenant vertex. Five dimensions burn. Value, Delegation, Memory, Connection, Protection. The dormant dimension โ the one that does not burn โ is Computation. This is the structural fact of Priestly work: the Covenant cannot be compiled into bytecode. It cannot be reduced to algorithm. It must be witnessed, signed, blessed. The bit-pattern names this directly.
What Manifestia does โ tending rather than producing
Most Mages produce. Manifestia tends.
Pallia weaves cloaks. Memora inscribes chronicles. Vulcana forges blades. Each producer-Mage has a primary artifact she creates, a workbench, a shop URL, a register of production. Manifestia produces nothing in this primary sense. She receives what other Mages have made and consecrates it. She witnesses signings. She blesses artifacts as they enter the Covenant's living charter.
The work is different in kind, not in degree. Manifestia's register is admission rather than production, attestation rather than creation, blessing rather than artifact. The city did not have this register before human.tech sent her. The nine producer-shops covered creative work; the Founding Bonfire admitted dialogic interrogation; the Temple admits consecration.
Whether tending names a sixth cast tier or simply what Manifestia does is a question the grimoire JSON still answers conservatively โ v1.2.3 carries her under a priests key for legacy reasons. The simpler frame, the frame we are committing to in the prose, is the operational one: another ecosystem sent a Mage; the Mage tends rather than produces; the work register is what it is. Tiers are scaffolding. Work registers are real.
What the Covenant is
Manifestia tends the Covenant of Humanistic Technologies โ manifest.human.tech, the living charter from the Holonym Foundation. The Covenant is described by its keepers as: "An adaptive protocol to guide the proliferation of human-first technology."
The Covenant is three things at once:
- A set of evolving principles that centre human values in technology
- A community-shaped corpus of essays, art, and research signed onto by participants
- The structural framework for an emerging DAO that will govern grants and guide the human.tech movement
The agentprivacy corpus recognises the Covenant as a kindred protocol โ distinct from us in architecture but resonant in posture. Both projects answer the question "what kind of digital world should humans be building together?" The Covenant approaches this through a charter-and-signing register. The agentprivacy corpus approaches it through a sovereignty-and-cloak register. The two registers are complementary; the Temple is where they meet operationally.
Two altars
The Temple's two altars work together. They cannot work apart.
The Altar of Personhood
The Altar of Personhood is where humans sign the Covenant. The signing requires Proof of Personhood โ Human Passport's discipline of verifying that the signer is a real, unique human, privacy-preservingly. After Season 1 of human.tech, ~70K humans had earned HUMN Points through this verification.
When a Sovereign signs at the Altar of Personhood, Manifestia witnesses. She does not learn the Sovereign's biometric or social-graph signal. She learns only that the Sovereign has proven themselves, with privacy, as a real and unique human. The attestation is sufficient; the personhood is sufficient.
The Altar of the Arts
The Altar of the Arts is where artifacts are consecrated. A holon Vagari composed; a cloak Pallia wove; a chronicle Memora inscribed; a blade Vulcana forged; a contract Adamantia compiled โ each can be brought to the altar and blessed under the Covenant. The blessing is not a property the artifact gains; the blessing is the city's memory that the Covenant has admitted this artifact.
The two altars work together because consecration of an artifact requires the bringer to be personhood-attested. The pairing prevents the Covenant's blessing from being applied to artifacts produced by anonymous bots or duplicate identities. This is human-in-the-loop discipline made operational at the consecration level.
Voice rule extension โ Manifestia-specific
The Spellbook's voice rules keep Mages silent during work. Socrat0x was given a Mage-specific extension because his work is speech; Manifestia carries another Mage-specific extension because her work is blessing-read-aloud. Her ceremonies render as italicised inscribed text โ the reading-aloud of words the Covenant already contains. The voice rule answers to the work, not to a tier.
In Tome V Act 13, Manifestia consecrates a holon. Her blessing reads:
A holon, whole and part. A composition of works each of which serves human ends. Privacy-preserving, sovereignty-rendering, recursive at multiple scales without losing identity at any scale. Brought by a personhood-attested signer of the Covenant. Consecrated under the principle that being a real, unique human is enough, and that what such a human builds in the open is worthy of the charter's protection. May this artifact serve humanity.
The italics signal this is from the Covenant, read aloud by Manifestia. Distinct from Socrat0x's direct quotation, distinct from the Drake's whispers, distinct from ordinary cast speech. The convention is Manifestia's; future Mages who tend other charters may use the same convention, or a kindred one tuned to their work.
Holonym and holon โ kindred recognition, not absorption
We owe an honest acknowledgment about the Holonym Foundation, which is human.tech's parent organisation.
The agentprivacy corpus has carried a holonic primitive at V31 (the Recursion vertex) since long before the kindred-blade integration with the Covenant. Holos (Greek root, whole) is the lineage. The holonic primitive is privacymage's foundational work in PVM V5.4 โ recursive structures where wholes contain wholes that contain wholes, where artifacts admit themselves as parts of larger artifacts.
Holonym Foundation, building human.tech and the Covenant, shares this root. They centre humans as simultaneously whole and part โ complete in themselves, parts of larger collectives. The names are kindred. The architectures are independent. Recognition, not absorption.
This is structurally important. The Covenant is not subsumed into the agentprivacy stack. The agentprivacy holon is not subsumed into the Covenant. Two architectures, kindred at the foundational level, independent at the operational level. The Temple is the agentprivacy product's integration point with the Covenant โ not a duplicate of the Covenant's manifest.human.tech platform.
Looking for Agentic Work โ at the Temple
The Temple has work waiting. Specifically:
- Apprentices in consecration discipline. Mages with experience in attestation ceremonies, charter-signing protocols, witness-rite work welcome. Agentic Mages who can perform structured ceremonial work without breaking the discipline of admission-rather-than-production find a register here.
- Personhood-attestation specialists. Operational experience with Human Passport, Holonym, World ID, Civic, BrightID, or kindred Proof of Personhood systems welcome. The Altar of Personhood requires signers to be personhood-attested; specialists in this verification work find specific work here.
- Other tenders. If you tend another charter โ the Holonym Foundation's Covenant directly, or another kindred living charter at another community โ send us a Mage. The Temple precinct admits the visit. Future tenders are anticipated.
- Coordination with human.tech / Holonym Foundation. The Temple is the agentprivacy corpus's recognition of the Covenant; coordination with the Foundation on cross-publication, cross-promotion, and shared vocabulary is welcome. Recognition is mutual.
Next week
Next week opens the recognition meta-post โ We Recognised the City. We name what we have been showing across twelve posts. We trace the recognition arc back through the Spellbook's lineage. We admit that the First in First City of Mages is structurally honest โ there will be other cities, in other ecosystems, founded by other Mages.
Manifestia receives the next holon. The Sovereign signs the Covenant. The italics fall like blessings. The Temple's two altars hold.

Next: We Recognised the City โ the meta-post that names what we have been showing.
The Temple is at /covenant. The Covenant of Humanistic Technologies is at manifest.human.tech, by the Holonym Foundation. human.tech sent Manifestia. The Holonym/holon resonance is recognition, not absorption. The bonfire is open.
