## What this section is

The Second Person Spellbook opens here. Where the First Person
Spellbook (this volume's Movement One) addresses *me*, the sovereign,
and Movement Two widens to *us*, the Second Person Spellbook
addresses *you* — the reader as cousin Sovereign, commissioner, and
builder.

The City of Mages is the first city of Drake Island in the
agentprivacy universe — a meeting place, founded the only way
anything worth founding is founded: around a fire that nobody owns.
Soulbis ⊥ Soulbae meet there at a bonfire. The gap between them is
the city.

This section contains a single poem that holds the door open to that
