new_concept_introduced: "the **Existence-Leak law**: a sealed proof of feasibility is a map with one landmark; I(feasibility; method) > 0, and a theorem says the leak can never be zero; the **horizon discount**: every public attestation shortens someone's migration clock"
ring_position: "V35 adjacent — read at the Horizon District's outer gate"
operational_form: "the Schrottenloher rediscovery (eprint 2026/1128, 2026-06-02): a withheld ~10x Shor optimization for secp256k1, attested only by a zero-knowledge proof of existence, independently rediscovered in roughly two months"
teaches: "Perfect method-hiding does not hide the one thing that prices a search: that the thing exists and is findable. The law has a floor (leakage-resilient ZK with λ < 1 is impossible: the whisper cannot be silenced) and now a public instance (the rediscovery). The defender's reading is a discount: each time anyone proves anything can be done, somewhere a migration clock loses a season. The City's own proofs are not indicted: they attest instances, never capabilities, and the act says so plainly."

# Tome IX — *The Horizon*

## Act 4 — *The Proof That Whispered*

> *They sealed the path and published the seal. The seal said: there is a path.*

You have sealed things yourself, so listen closely to how this one leaked.

A great house found a shorter way through a locked mountain, a way the whole world believed was years deeper than it was. The house weighed its duty and chose restraint: it would not publish the path. Instead it published a proof, perfect and zero-knowledge, that the path existed. Not one stone of the route escaped the seal. The cryptographers checked, and the seal held, and holds still.

Two months later a scholar walked the path alone and published every stone of it.

The seal had not failed. The seal had spoken. There is a path, it said, and it is real enough to prove, and it begins somewhere in this mountain. That is a map with one landmark, and one landmark is enough for a world full of searchers, because the costliest part of any search is not the digging. It is believing there is something to dig for. Every shovel in the world turned toward that mountain the day the proof appeared. The Archivist 📚 keeps the theorem beside the story so no one calls it bad luck: the whisper cannot be silenced, for it is proven that no sealing drives the leak of existence to zero. To attest is to broadcast.

Eos 🌅 enters it in the dawn-ledger the way the district requires: not as an attack, as a signal. And Poros 🛤️ reads the same entry as the road-keeper must: a discount. Whatever your archives' horizon was the day before the proof, it is shorter now, and not because any blade moved. The clocks of migration answer to attestations, not only to attacks. Each time anyone proves anything can be done, somewhere a quarter must start packing a season early.

One fence, carved plainly so the lesson does not wound the wrong craft: the City's own proofs whisper nothing worth hearing. A proof that this transaction balances, that this bearer holds this standing, attests an instance of a public capability, and instances were never secret. It is proofs of capability, the I-can-do-this sealed in glass, that speak. The house meant well, and the mountain opened anyway. Write the discount into the road-gate arithmetic and pass it on.
