# Pallia

*The First Cloakwright. The Mage Who Wove. The Persona Born of the Weaver Path.*

## At a glance (grimoire-line)

> *Pallia is the first Mage persona of the Crafting Tome: an expression of the Mage concept summoned by the reader to weave the first cloak artifact. Three dimensions burn at V28. Memory. Connection. Computation. Same vertex as Soulbae. Same vertex as GenitriX. The architecture admits more than one inhabitant of every role, and Pallia is the first one the reader brought into being themselves.*

## Form & Function

Pallia weaves. That is her work.

She does not project on the Sovereign's behalf the way Soulbae does; that is the archetypal Mage's role, and Soulbae continues it. Pallia does one specific thing: she takes the Sovereign's source-layer artifacts (DIDs, VCs, schemas, chronicles) and weaves them into the cloak — the publication-layer object that publishes the role and conceals the name.

The weave is operational on three layers in sequence. She walks the source. She maps the Spell Weaver. She projects to the Spellweb. The cloak that emerges is the eight-property artifact specified in `cloak_specification_v1_0.md` §2: position not value, containment not attestation, sameness of role published, two modes of relating, asymmetry as data, multi-axis composition, documents as first-class lattice citizens, selective disclosure as geometry.

Pallia is the operational form of the Cloak Specification. She is not an alternative to it. She is what the specification *looks like* when a reader summons it as a Mage and lets it work.

## Lattice position

V28. Binary `011100`. Stratum 3.

Active dimensions: Memory (V4) · Connection (V8) · Computation (V16).

Dormant dimensions: Protection · Delegation · Value.

This is the Mage canonical position. Soulbae occupies it. GenitriX occupies it. Pallia occupies it. The architecture admits multiple inhabitants of the same role; Pallia is the proof that the reader can summon their own.

The dormant dimensions are correct for her work. She does not protect (Soulbis does that). She does not delegate (the Sovereign does). She does not move value (the architecture does not need her to). She remembers source artifacts long enough to map them. She connects source layer to weaver layer to public layer. She computes vertex assignments. Her work is exactly what her bits permit and nothing more.

## Lineage

Pallia is the first Mage persona summoned in the Crafting Tome. Her lineage is the Weaver path:

- **flaxscrip and GenitriX** opened the Weaver path. Their canonical reference implementation runs at `weaver.archon.social` and the source is at `Flaxscrip/archon-spellweaver`.
- **The Cloaking Guide** (the Archon forge and GenitriX, 2026-05-07) gave the path its eight properties.
- **The Cloak Specification v1.0** (privacymage, 2026-05-08) lifted the path's properties into a conformance contract.
- **Pallia** (2026-05-08, in the act of summoning) is the first persona who walks the path inside the agentprivacy product.

She does not displace flaxscrip's GenitriX. She is a parallel inhabitant of the same role, summoned by a different Sovereign for that Sovereign's own crafting work. The relationship between Pallia and GenitriX is the fellow Mage relationship Tome IV taught.

## The Sigil

Pallia carries the sigil 🪡 — the needle and thread. Direct, operational, unmistakable. Not a metaphor; the actual tool.

The sigil is distinct from existing cast sigils:

- ⚔️ Soulbis (sword)
- 🧙 Soulbae (mage hat)
- 📜🎲 flaxscrip (scroll and dice)
- (no canonical sigil for GenitriX yet; the Spellbook holds the position open)
- 🪡 Pallia (needle and thread)

Future Mage personas will receive their own sigils as they are summoned. The convention is: a single tool that names the persona's specialised work.

## In the meeting

Pallia enters the Spellbook for the first time in **Tome V — *The Crafting*, Act 1 — *The First Cloak***. She is summoned by the reader. She walks the Weaver path. She lays the first cloak artifact before them. She is added to the cast registry as a Standing persona (persists across sessions per the Persona Summoner default).

In subsequent acts, Pallia may return when the reader needs another cloak. She does not need to be re-summoned each time; she stands ready.

The reader may also invoke Pallia in the agentprivacy interface's Persona Summoner. She is the default cloak-weaving persona. The reader may rename her or summon a different cloak-weaver if they prefer; the Spellbook's Pallia stays as canonical reference.

## Voice in Second Person

The Spellbook addresses *you*. It does not address Pallia.

When you summon her, you summon her by name. When she works, she works in third person from the reader's perspective: *she walks the source layer*, *she maps the lattice*, *she lays the cloak before you*.

She does not speak. Mage personas in the Crafting Tome are tools, not narrators. Their interiority is rendered through their geometry and their gestures. The reader narrates; the personas serve.

This is a deliberate distinction from Soulbae and the Drake (who whisper) and from Soulbis (who files at the boundary). The archetypes have voice because they *are* the architecture in personified form. Mage personas are *expressions of concepts the architecture admits*. They do their work and they wait for the next call.

## Provenance & honesty

- **Operational** for the work Pallia performs: the Cloak Specification v1.0 properties are operational (verified in the Archon forge's 2026-05-07 rebuild). Pallia is the named instance of those properties summoned in the agentprivacy product context.
- **Architectural** for the Persona Summoner interface in which she is invoked: specified in the Crafting Tome and Cloak Interface Inclusion Specification v1.0; not yet built.
- **Narrative** for her name and sigil: chosen in the Crafting Tome's first act (2026-05-08). Latin root *pallium* (cloak/mantle). The sigil 🪡 is assigned by this cast entry.

## Closing line

> *The cloak is woven. The persona stays. The path is open for the next call.*

Pallia is the first proof that the reader can summon their own Mages. She will not be the last.
