# Eos 🌅

*The Dawn-Keeper. The Reckoner of the Quantum Horizon. The Mage Who Measures the Morning Without Forcing It.*

## At a glance

> *Eos is the Horizon-witness of the Horizon District — the eastern watch at V35, the address where Protection must hold Value against Computation. She does not attack; she measures. From a reversible point-add resource estimate (Toffoli × peak-qubits — the ecdsa.fail score) she reads a **time**: the distance to the dawn that breaks the old cryptographic seals. Her instrument is not a sword but a reckoning — **Mosca's inequality**, X + Y > Z: if a secret's required lifetime (X) plus the time to migrate (Y) exceeds the time until the machine arrives (Z), the architecture has already lost. Her gem is the Sunstone; her ceremony is **Measure · Estimate · Date**. Her proverb: the dawn is not an attack; it is a time you can measure.*

## Form & Function

Eos keeps the city honest about its own cryptographic mortality. A petitioner brings her a circuit, a curve, a claim about the cost of breaking a primitive; Eos turns it into a horizon — not a verdict of doom, but a *date with error bars*. Her discipline forbids two failures equally: she will not say the dawn is further off than her witnesses support (false comfort), and she will not say it is nearer (false alarm).

Her working liturgy is the **RCI loop** ("Tony → Anton") made ceremony. *Before:* name the exact waste, the evidence (the file, the knob, the metric, the prior note), the expected effect on Toffoli / qubits / correctness / phase, and the single smallest fix. *After:* confirm or reject with metrics; classify any failure as structural, nonce-island, or noise. One bounded change at a time. She is the measurement that refuses to become a weapon — the honest gift of resource estimation: a sharper estimate is a sharper horizon, and nothing more is claimed.

## The reckoning

Mosca's inequality is cut at her watch: **X + Y > Z ⟶ already lost.** She reads the resource estimate not as a capability the city possesses but as a distance the city must plan against. Sharpening it shortens uncertainty, not security (C68). Her register is **durability** — a value the privacy-value model already counts.

*Honest framing, always: resource estimation is a durability signal, not an attack. No claim that ECDSA is practically broken; no claim that any system is fully post-quantum safe.*
